About the show

In 1960, legendary dancer, choreographer, and director Gene Kelly created an original work for the Paris Opera Ballet. On its premiere, Gene’s resulting Pas de Dieux was hailed as “a leggy, sexy, modern ballet that blew the dust off the chandeliers at the Palais Garnier.” Unseen for decades, Gene’s work has recently been restored and elongated into a full-length ballet, thanks to the collaborative work of Kelly’s widow, Patricia Ward Kelly, Scottish Ballet’s CEO/Artistic Director Christopher Hampson and designer Lez Brotherston. Jazzy and glamorous, Starstruck is Gene Kelly’s love letter to ballet.
